Gulab Jamun

Gulab jamun is a beloved Indian dessert consisting of fried dough balls made from milk and semolina solids, soaked in an aromatic syrup spiced with green cardamom, rose water, saffron, and more. Close attention to ingredients and temperature results in a sweet, light julep with a moist interior. Gulab jamun always makes it in 3 steps. First, make dough. The second is to fry the balls. And the last step is to dip the balls in sugar syrup.



Ingredients:
For Dough Preparation:

  • Curd (Khoya) ----- 250gm
  • Wheat flour (maida) ----- 50gm
  • Baking Soda ----- 1 pinch
  • Baking Powder ----- 1 pinch
  • Cardamom ----- 1 pinch
  • Powder milk ----- 50gm
  • Oil for frying

For Sugar Syrup preparation:

  • Sugar ----- 1 kg
  • Water ----- 2 cup

Method:

Take a bowl and add curd, wheat flour, milk powder, baking soda, cardamom, and baking powder and make a dough. Make small balls of dough. Take oil in a pan, turn on the flame and fry all the balls in it. On the other side, make sugar syrup in a pan by adding sugar and water and boil it till it becomes mixed and thick. Add the balls to the sugar syrup. Balls are dipped in sugar syrup for 5 mins then they can absorb sugar. Gulab jamuns are ready for serving.
