Green Sauce (chutni)


Mint and Coriander

They both are called herbs. Both herbs have a combination in making the chutni and sauce. These both herbs have cold effects. The size of mint leaves is big compared to coriander leaves. Mint leaves are in curly shape while coriander leaves are in a flower shape. This is the difference in their appearance. Most common sauce or chutni in Pakistan is mint and coriander leaves. They use in every type of food (junk food, bbq, pakistani, desi, non-veg food) Every five-star restaurant, hotels use this as a sauce. 
Benefits of mint & coriander:
  • Mint and coriander leaves have cold effect.
  • Mint leaves are good for stomach issues, respiratory problems and some allergic reactions while coriander leaves are important for the immune system, digestive system, and diuretic system. They enhance the immune system working.
  • These herbs are also good for skin glow.
  • These herbs are taken by patients who are suffering from anemia because these herbs have iron in rich amounts.

 Ingredients:

Coriander leaves ----- 1 bunch

Mint leaves ----- 1 bunch

Garlic cloves ----- 4-5

Cumin seeds ----- 1 Tbsp.

Green chilies ----- 7-8

Salt ---- as taste

Lemon juice ---- 2-3 Tbsp.

Water ---- as required

Method:

Take a juicer and add coriander leaves, mint leaves, lemon juice, water, garlic, cumin seeds, green chili, salt and blend it frequently. The green sauce is ready. Pour it in a bowl and enjoy with the fried food, junk food, Pakistani food.
