Haleem
Pakistani-originated dish is called Haleem. It is also called stew made of barley, meat, rice, pulses, and wheat. It is the most famous dish in Pakistan. In Lahore, Lahori always eats it with a nan. Haleem is healthiest dish having too many calories which gives you energy. The children who don't like pulses, they can eat this with a combination of meat, rice, barley, and wheat.

Ingredients:
Dal Masoor ----- 1 pao
Dal Chana ----- 1 pao
Dal Mong ----- 1 pao
Dal Mash ----- 1 pao
Whole Wheat 🌾 ----- 1 pao
Barley porriage (daliya) ----- 1 pao
Rice ----- 1 pao
Boneless Beef ----- 2 kg
Salt ----- as taste
Red chilli ----- 2 tbsp
Turmeric powder ----- 1 tsp
Coriander powder ----- 2 tbsp
Haleem Masala ----- 1 pack
Yogurt ----- 1 pao
Garlic ----- 4 flower
Ginger ----- 2 tbsp
Onion ----- 4
Tomatoes ----- 5
Cumin seeds powder ----- 1 tbsp
Garm masala ----- 1 tbsp
Oil ----- half kg
Water ----- as required
Fried onion ----- 4
Coriander leaves ----- for garnish
Mint leaves ----- for garnish
Ginger sticks ----- for garnish
Lemon ----- for garnish
Method:
Wash the all pulses, barley, and wheat, add water and let it soak overnight. In the morning, wash it and add the all pulses in a pressure cooker, add salt and cover it for 15 mins. After 15mins place the all pulses in a bowl and then add the barley in a pressure cooker and cook for 15 mins at low flame. Then place it in a bowl and then cook the wheat in a pressure cooker for 15 mins. Then place it in another bowl. Take a pressure cooker, add onion, ginger, garlic, boneless beef, salt, red pepper, turmeric powder, and coriander powder, 3 glass of water, and cover the pressure cooker for half an hour. After half hour, the meat becomes softened, add cumin seeds powder, garm masala, haleem masala, and oil, and cook for 10 mins. Separate out the oil in a bowl. Mix the meat well and turn it into like fibers. Take a pot and add 2 glass of water and bring it to a boil then add rice to it. Boil the rice for 15 mins and then drain off the water. Take a grinder and jug. Add all the pulses to a jug and grind it and place it in a large pot. Add wheat, rice, and barley in a jug and grind it and place it in the same pot in which pulses are added. Then add beef to a pot. Turn the flame on. Cook it for almost one hour. The pulses, barley, rice, and wheat become mixed properly. The haleem is ready for serve. Take a bowl add haleem, and garnish with coriander leaves, mint leaves, lemon, fried onion, and oil. Enjoy it with nan.
Fried onion
Ingredients:
Onion ----- 4 (chopped in small pieces)
Oil ----- 1 cup
Method:
Take a pan, add oil and turn on the flame. When the oil becomes crackled then add onion and fry it until it becomes golden brown. The crispy fried onion is ready. Enjoy it with haleem.
