Kabab

Shami Kabab or Shami Kabab is a local type of kebab. Now they are the most favorite dish in Pakistan with biryani or at-home parties. Kabab originated from India and then in Bangladesh and Pakistan. They are famous in every province of Pakistan. We use kabab with biryani and nan, or also use it in making burgers. Children mostly like this type of food for breakfast, and school lunches. Mothers make burgers, and sandwiches for their children for lunch. There are many methods of making kababs in Pakistan. Some people make it from chicken, beef, and mutton meat. and some people make it from chicken, beef, and mutton mince. Every province in Pakistan make its own ways of cooking and eating.

Most of the houses wives make the kabab and freeze it for their school-going children to make sandwiches and burgers and many more recipes. In kabab, the main ingredient is meat/mince and pulses which we add in making the kabab.

Is the kabab healthy food?

The answer is yes, the kabab is children healthy food for children as well as the young and old ones. They have the mean which is the main ingredient. we know there is a high amount of proteins and calories in meat. Our children become remain active if they take in a high amount of proteins.

Ingredients:

Mince (any chicken/mutton/beef) ----- 1kg

Split chickpeas ----- half kg

Ginger ----- 2 tbsp

Garlic ----- 150 gm (2 pieces )

Onion ----- 2

Salt ----- as taste

Red chili ----- 1 tbsp

Qourma masala ----- 2 tbsp

Black pepper ----- 1 tbsp

Green chilli ----- 1 tbsp

Turmeric powder ----- 1 tsp

Coriander powder ----- 1 tbsp

Coriander leaves ----- 1 bunch chopped

Garam masala ----- 1 tsp

Cumin seeds ----- 1 tsp

Methods:

Take a pressure cooker and add 2 jug water, mince, split chickpeas, salt, red chili, turmeric powder, qourma masala, ginger, garlic, onion and coriander powder in it. Cover the pressure cooker for 45 mins. After 45 mins, cook it and dry the remaining water. Cool down the mixture and then add cumin seeds, green chili, black pepper, gram masala, chopped coriander leaves mix it frequently, and make the kabab in a round form. Take a pan, add oil to it and fry the kabab with egg. Garnish it with lemon and serve it with ketchup in a serving dish.
