Chicken palao

 Palao

The easiest way of cooking rice. We make palao in chicken, mutton, or beef too. The simplest delicious taste of rice is called palao. It originated in central Asia. The main ingredients of palao are garm masala and onion. All of you must try the given recipe of palao and enjoy with family members.

Preparation time: 1 hour 


Ingredients:

Chicken ----- 500gm

Rice ----- 1 kg ( 2 glass )

Cinnamon ----- 5

Cumin seeds ----- 1 tsp 

Cloves ----- 5

Bay leaves ----- 1

Cardamom ----- 4

Salt ----- as taste 

Green chili paste ----- 1 tbsp 

Onion ----- 2

Garlic paste ----- 1 tsp 

Ginger paste ----- 1 tsp 

Black pepper ----- 1 tsp 

Black pepper powder ----- 1 tsp

Oil ----- 1 cup 

Tomatoes ----- 3

Yogurt ----- 1 cup

Yellow food color ----- 1 pinch in 2 tbsp of water (optional)

Water ----- as required 


Method: 

Take a pot, and add chicken, salt, and 5 glass of water. Cover it with a lid, turn the flame on and cook for 15 mins. After 15mins, the chicken becomes softened, and stocked (yakhni) was prepared. Cut the onion and tomatoes into small pieces. Take a pot, add oil and turn the flame on. When the oil becomes warm then add onion to it. Cook the onion until it becomes golden brown in color. Then add ginger garlic paste, cardamom, black pepper, cinnamon, cumin seeds, green chili paste, cloves, and bay leaves. Cook it for 5 mins then after 5 mins add 1/4th cup of water and cover the pot with a lid for 3 mins. The onion releases its golden brown color which brings your rice look attractive. After 3 mins, add boiled chicken, salt, black pepper powder, tomatoes, and yogurt in it. Cook it for 5 mins. Then add 3.5 glasses of stocked (yakhni) in it. Cook it at high flame until it becomes starts boiling then add soaked rice to it. Turn the flame medium and cook the rice for 7 mins. After 7 mins, check/mix the rice thoroughly and almost the water becomes dry then turn the flame low and add yellow food color on the upper layer of rice if you want color otherwise you skip this point. Cover the pot for 10 mins. The rice becomes completely softened and looks attractive. The delicious palao is ready for serving. Enjoy it with raita, kabab, and sauces.
