Chukandar ghosht



Beetroot:

Beetroot is a vegetable, high in fibres, folate, magnesium, potassium, iron and vitamic C. Beetroot has too many benefits. 
It is good for anemia patients.
High in fibers.
It improves iron deficiency and hemoglobin.
Good for the eyesight, improve eyesight.
Good for blood pressure patients.
It helps to control cholesterol level.
Diabetic patients also use beetroot as a salad for sugar control.
Heart muscles can be strong by beetroot.

Ingredients:

Salt ----- as taste
Red chili ----- 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder ----- 1/4 tsp
Coriander powder ----- 1 tsp
Beetroot ----- 1kg
Chicken ----- 1kg
Cumin seeds powder ----- 1 tsp
Tomatoes ----- 2
Yogurt ----- 5 tbsp
Garlic ----- 1 flower
Onion ----- 1 (large0

Method:

Cut the beetroot into small pieces add water, garlic, onion, tomatoes, and spices (salt, red chili, turmeric powder, coriander powder) in a pressure cooker and cover for 15 mins. After 15 mins, make paste of beetroot in mortar and pestle or in chopper. Cook the beetroot for 5mins then add chicken, cumin seeds powder, and yogurt in it. Cover the pressure cooker for 5 mins (chicken become tender) After 5 mins, open the pressure and cook the beetroot for 10 mins. When the water becomes dry, add oil and cook it 5 min at high flame. The delicious beetroot chicken is ready for serve. Enjoy it with Roti or raita.
