Fish are aquatic vertebrates. Some scientists give the wrong concept of fish that they are mammals. They are not mammals, they are vertebrates because they are cold-blooded. They can breathe through the gills. They live in water, without water they can not exists. 

Fishes that can we eat:

Tilapia
Catfish
Cod
Alaskan Pollock
Trout
Bass
Rohu
Singhara

Benefits of fish:

Fishes have the omega-3 property and have the vitamin D and vitamin B. Fish have some minerals like magnesium, calcium, iron, zinc, iodine and potassium.  Some children who are weak in their childhood doctors recommend capsules of fish oil. 


Fish Biryani:

Ingredients:

Boneless fish ----- 1 kg

Rice ----- 1 kg

Salt ----- to taste

Fish Masala ----- 2 tbsp

Red chilli ----- 1 tsp

Turmeric powder ----- 1 tsp

Coriander powder ----- 1tsp

Lemon juice ----- 2tbsp

Onion ----- 5 piece

Yogurt ----- half kg

Ginger garlic paste ----- 2 tbsp

Tomatoes ----- 2

Coriander ----- 1 bunch

Mint ----- 1 bunch

Dry plum ----- 5 piece

Dry tamarinds ---- 5 piece

Clove ----- 5

Oil ----- 1 cup

Cumin ----- few

Yellow color ----- 1 pinch

Cinnamon ----- 5

Cardamom ----- 5 

Bay leave ---- 1

Green chili paste ---- 1tbsp


Method:

Take a bowl and add washed boneless fish then add fish masala, and lemon in it and marinate for 2 hours. Heat the cooking oil in a pan and fry the pieces of fish in it and place aside after frying. Heat the cooking oil in a pot on medium heat for three to five minutes and add the hot spices (clove, cumin, cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaf) when it starts to crackle, add the onion and fry until golden brown.
Add ginger, garlic, turmeric, and cook for two to three minutes then add tomatoes and cook until the tomatoes turn brown.
When the tomatoes are turned into a paste, add salt, red chilies, coriander powder, turmeric powder, green chilies, green coriander, tamarind, plum and mint then add yogurt and in last add boneless fried fish and mix well on medium flame. Cook it for ten minutes. Boil the rice (5 minutes) with little hot spices and strain the water through a sieve.
Spread the fish in a large pot and place a layer of rice and yellow food color on top of it.

Cover the pot, keep it on a hot pan for 5 to 10 minutes, and cook on a low flame. Biryani is ready for serving.
