Lobia is a bean. It also resembles with kidney so lobia is also called kidney beans. Lobia has too many health benefits. There are many ways of using the lobia in our diets. Some people take lobia regularly in their diet in the form of salad and some people like lobia with mince or neat. Before telling you the recipe I will share some health benefits of lobia.
Lobia is rich in fibres.
Low cholesterol level.
Helps to lose weight.
Good for constipation.
Good for diabetes.
Lobia is not good for people whom have high uric acid.
Ingredients:
Lobia ----- half kg
Qeema ----- 1 kg
Garlic ----- 2 flower
Onion ----- 2
Tomatoes ----- 3 medium
Cumin seeds powder ----- 1 tsp
Oil ---- 1 cup
Coriander leaves ----- 1 bunch
Salt ----- as taste
Red chili powder ----- 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder ----- 1/4 tsp
Coriander powder ----- 1 tbsp
Qourma masala ----- 1 tsp
Water ----- as required
Coriander leaves ----- for garnish
Lemon ---- for garnish
Method:
Take a pressure cooker and add onion, garlic, tomatoes, salt, red pepper powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and mince. Cook it for 20mins after the whistle starts. Soak the lobia for 4 hours before starting to cook. After 20mins, open the pressure cooker and cook for 15 mins by adding yogurt cumin seeds powder, qourma masala, lobia, and oil. When the oil separates, then add 2 cups of water. Then again cover the pressure cooker and cook for 10 mins when the whistle starts. After 10 mins the delicious lobia qeema is ready for serving. Garnish it with coriander leaves and lemon. Enjoy it with raita and roti.
